Automation for linking confluence page to Jira

I have an existing automation that creates a Confluence page when a new task (work item) is created, and then assigns the task to the right person in team. 

I now want the pages created in confluence to be automatically linked to the corresponding task in JIRA. Can you advise the best way to do this?

You can do tis within automation.

In the automation where you create the confluence page, you need to add a web request action.

You need to connect to: https://<your-instance-name>.atlassian.net/rest/confluenceIssueLink/1/confluence?issueId={{triggerIssue.id}}&pageUrl={{createdPage.url}}set the HTTP method to Post and set the We request body to Empty

Check the option: Delay execution of subsequent rule actions until we've received a response for this web request

You will need to specify the headers as:

Key: Content-Type Value: application/json
Key: Authorization Value: Basic <your api token>
