Automation based on Github status change is incorrectly triggering

Question

We have an automation set up that moves a ticket from In Progress to Needs Review when a Pull Request is opened in Github. This has been working just fine for us for 1 year+.

Recently (I think in the last few days?), when any update is made to an open Github PR, our Jira automation rule is being triggered again. This never used to happen - it would only happen when the PR was first opened.

Now, when additional commits or updates happen to the PR, it's triggering the rule again which is causing it to incorrectly move statuses (when a PR is approved, we move it to QA Review, but now the rule is moving them back when we update the PR).

So you are saying actions that are not "Pull request created" are triggering this rule?

Have you checked the audit log of this rule? To see where the trigger is coming from?

Sure, it's just this - the "Status is not one of" condition I just added yesterday to work around the issue.

It just seems to be picking up on additional events/activity from the PR, when it didn't before.
