When you create a Software project in Jira Cloud you’ll see Atlassian’s ready‑made templates (Scrum, Kanban, Bug tracking, etc.).

* Open Projects>Create project.
* Select Software development.
* Pick the template whose issue types and workflow suit your team.

This is perfect for starting from scratch, but what if you already have a “gold‑standard” project whose workflows or custom fields you want to reuse?

You start out with a default, if you want to adjust this, this can be done after the project creation.

Then you can amend workflows, issue types/ work items, etc..

My suggestion is to use a company managed project.
