How do I automatically assign a pre defined Asset Schema to a ticket when it's created?

Hello,

We have created some pre defined assets and schemas in JIRA and are looking to automatically set them as the ticket is created. Anyone have an idea on how to go about this in the automation section? Not seeing anything where it can be set.

It's finding the asset in the fields, just not allowing it to be set. Looks like it wants to update them rather plug it in

hey @Doug Urquhart  so I think in your example it would be an edit issue action and to populate that specific CI would be

"Name" = "Med Center East PS"

Regarding that 2nd screenshot you provided I would double check your field is connected to the correct schema and no AQL filters are filtering anything out.

You can check this by going to the "Context & Default Value" for your asset field and you should see a screen similar to this

So we've created a schema and will be inputting values predefined, and then just want to include that into the ticket once it's created, so each one will need to be added again or I guess defined in the automation rules? No way to just say hey, we want this added?

Probably a bad example, but the schema below will be built with the values, then take that and just input it into the work item once it's created instead of manually doing so.
