I am in the process of migrating from an unsupported on-prem environment to cloud. Going through various permission settings, I noticed I have 4 different groups that appear under Application access in my on-prem admin settings. 2 of the groups are ADMIN and 2 of the groups, presumably, are DEFAULT access. These are the groups currently listed in my on-prem Application access:
- jira-administrators (ADMIN - this is a system default group)
- IT - JIRA Admin (ADMIN - this is one of my own user groups I created)
- jira-software-users (presumably DEFAULT - system default group)
- JIRA - Access (presumably DEFAULT - thisd is one of my own user groups I created)
My questions are as follows:
- Are users who are members of any of the groups listed above utilizing a license or only the non-admin ones?
- If a user group is part of a project role that is then used in a permission scheme of an active project, does that utilize a license?
- If a user group is part of a global permission other Administer Jira, does that utilize a license?
