Cannot connect to REST API

Question

Hi, since about 12am GMT (14 hours ago) I have not been able to connect to our Jira account through the REST API.

Please can you confirm if there are any issues and how long they will take to resolve. Every other Jira & Atlassian service is working as expected.

If there have been any updates to the REST API that may affect conecting to the service, please let me know.

This is affecting a major part of our internal system that is integrated with Jira.

The connections started working again about 6 hours later. I can only assume this was caused by the same thing that was happening for some Atlassian customers, reported on Twitter

I would make sure that the API is enabled on your instance (it is on by default). You can check that out at Administration > General Configuration > Set Accept remote API calls to either On/Off.

Otherwise, what kind of error is it giving you? How are you using the API?
