Here's what I did: * create a custom issue type dedicated to specific feedback we need to read in Excel * created a form linked to that custom issue type, dedicated to receiving those specific feedback * created a filtere on those issues * tried to export it in different formats Problem: * the "filter fields" export will include data formatted in columns, just what I need (YAY!), but only the filter fields, not every issue field (NAY!) * the "all fields export" includes every field of those issues (YAY!), but formatted in a terrible vertical way that makes it impossible for me to read them and pass those to those who will read that feedback (NAY!) I checked some third parties apps, but there doesn't seem to be one dedicated to providing this kind of export. Furthermore, it would be great if Jira Forms would allow to have a dedicated Excel export, just like Google Forms do. Thank you in advance for your help!

How to export every issue field in Excel format from a filtered set of issues

What if you would extend you filter results with extra columns.

On filter results, you can select the columns option, default is my defaults (current user), but you can also select filter and set the default fields for the filter.

Give this a try.

@Giulio Pengo In fact, the Better Excel Exporter app can produce the "all fields" type output you are looking for!

In the screenshot you can see that:

It has a set of export types ("Current fields", marked with red) that export the issues using the currently selected columns in the Issue Navigator.
It also has export types ("Non-empty fields", marked with blue) that will automatically find out the fields (columns) for which at least one of the issues to export has a non-empty value! In other words, it will export "all fields", but removing those fields that would be empty for all exported issue.

Note that even if you have a very large Jira Cloud site with a very large number of custom fields, the second approach will work, because it will find the optimal field set automatically!

Yeah, the question is how much time does it save for those 2-3 people? If they frequently export data to Excel, then waste a bunch of time with "massaging" the resulted sheet, then it may worth...

I was about to do that, and it works indeed.

Just to be more precise: I can get the desired output in Google Sheets, not in Microsoft Excel, but I can easily admit the Office Suite and I do not get along very well!
