We would like to link Dropbox with Jira. There are smart links that should be configurable and display a preview as an example, but the generated link in Jira or Confluence with /dropbox is a pure link and cannot be changed. Is there a setting that still needs to be set?

I don't know about such links in Jira, but, in Confluence, have you tried changing the view option for the link after you insert it? See https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/insert-links-and-anchors/

thanks for the reply. I wanted the Option at the Section Smart Links and change the View to Card View. For YouTube Links this does work, but for Dropbox Links there isn't an Option to change the Link View.
