Automatic rule fails because an attribute is not filled in

Hello!

I have built two rules to determine the device age for assets. One rule is triggered when a device is created and the other rule is created when a device is updated. Now there are some assets that do not have the acquisition date set from the beginning and only if you have the acquisition date, you can calculate the device age. Now I get a mail every time that the rule fails because an asset has no acquisition date and it has been changed or created. How can I change the rule so that it does not fail? Can I somehow filter out assets where no acquisition date is set?

I added an AQL condition:

"Acquisition Date" IS NOT EMPTY

Hi @Antonia ,

You can include an IF statement in your automation rule that checks if the attribute is filled in. You should select the "AQL Condition" in your IF statement
