Hello All,

I am trying to find a way to find in an easy way from an epic or or a bug, to which workpackage are they linked to, and also the transition status from the WP.

Ideally, see it directly in an overview form, where I can select the details I would need to visualize.

Can you elaborate with an example as to how you would like to see the status updated in custom field?

Do you plan to use one custom field or multiple (1 each for Epic, Standard Issue, Subtask)?

Let's say you have

1 WP. Under it 4 Epics. Each Epic has 2 to 4 Standard Issues. Each Standard Issue has say 3 to 4 subtasks.

Once the requirement is clearly chalked out, we should be able to work out an automation script,

Yes I do have premium. And yes I also have custom fields to capture the status. Workflow is the same.

But how would it work with automation?

Your hierarchy is

WP -> Epic -> Standard Issue Type -> sub-tasks

* One WP can have multiple Epics.
* One Epic can have multiple Standard Issue Type.

If I understand it correctly, in your WP, you want to see the status of all related Epics/Standard issues etc.

Are you on premium subscription? if yes, you can check plans, if that helps serve your purpose.

Otherwise, if you are looking to have consolidate view at WP level, then automation can help. However, requirement needs to be clearly defined.

Is the workflow same for all issuetypes?
