Get user attributes in automation

Question

Hello,

Recently, I've synchronized the existing "Department" and "Manager" attributes in our Azure AD using Atlassian Guard.

I'm currently trying to get these attributes into an automation, but I'm not succeeding. Is it possible to get them using smart values ​​or REST API?

As of a year ago (Nov 2024) they were looking into adding automation support.

@Ed Harwood These additional attributes have the same limitations I mentioned before. You can bring them into user profile, but cannot use them in a custom field, for example. Also, the information is not recorded in Jira, so you cannot use these attributes in a JQL.

With Mindpro Sync, you can bring the data and store them in custom fields, enable these to be used in JQL, dashboards or any reporting apps that read custom fields.

@Eduardo Anflor - MindPro , Atlassian released a related feature but I can not figure out how to use:

Sync additional SCIM attributes- Ability to sync additional SCIM user provisioning attributes, such as profile picture, location, employee ID, and manager. The manager attribute can be used to configure workflow automations.

Any ideas?
