Product Admin Role Assignment except Bitbucket Access

Question

Hello,

I need to assign the Product Admin role to User X, but I don't want them to have any visibility into Bitbucket, even as a user. Is this possible? Also, if I assign User X as a Product Admin for the Jira domain, will they automatically gain access to Bitbucket?

Hi @Dilan Koyunoğlu ,

access/role can be configured per product basis (https://support.atlassian.com/user-management/docs/how-does-product-access-work/). You should organize your groups per product so that you can ensure that specific users have specific access/role per product.

To answer your question - no, they won't get a Bitbucket User or Product admin role if you grant them a Jira product admin role.

Bitbucket is a separate product and therefore has separate product roles. If your Bitbucket is incorporated into your Admin Hub, you'll be able to grant each user any of the following roles for Bitbucket:

* User
* Product admin
* User access admin

*this is applied for newer instances

If you don't see Bitbucket on a list of products (Admin Hub > Products), then all access is managed on Bitbucket directly > https://bitbucket.org/<WORKSPACE-NAME>/workspace/settings.
