I would like to be able to send a customer ticket "to development" which will create a ticket in a development project and set the link to a specific type. I don't want the clone in the summary.
How can i do this?
Hi Colleen,
You can use Automation for Jira:
1.When: Issue transitionated
2.Issue fields condition
3.Then: Create a new ( here you can select the project, issutype, and what fileds do you want)
PS: PLease endusre you selected Linked issue here.
Thank you but what is the transition... i want the support person to review the issue and make a choice to send to development - so need an action or something that they do to trigger
oh... i see a put a change in workflow send to development
This works thank you - is there a way i can prompt the user to set some required fields for the copied issue>
Hi @Colleen Cosgrove
If you're looking to automate the process of cloning a ticket to another project and setting a specific link type, our app Deep Clone for Jira can streamline this task efficiently. With its Post Function Clone feature, you can integrate cloning directly into your workflows, allowing your support team to trigger the clone action seamlessly when they decide to send an issue to development.
This approach eliminates the need for manual cloning or custom automation scripts, offering a more robust and flexible solution.
Plus, Deep Clone supports bulk cloning, cloning of comments, attachments, and more, making it a comprehensive tool for all your Jira cloning needs.
You can try Deep Clone for Jira for free from the Atlassian Marketplace to see how it fits into your workflow.
