@Yatish Madhav As others pointed out, we have a distinction between the associate-level (ACA) and professional-level (ACP) exams, in terms of complexity, duration, and cost of the exam. For those starting out, an ACA is always a good idea to understand the exam logistics, determine your preference for online vs in-person locations, and to get a feel for the types of questions asked. That being said, you can start with any that you feel most comfortable with, in terms of content, once you've looked at the exam pages. Since you are very familiar with Jira, the Jira Software Essentials exam seems like a logistical start. Good luck to you. And come back here to let the community know what you decided and how you did!
Thanks Prachi. That all helps
Would i be right in saying that currently ... in total, there are 6 ACA and 6 ACP certifications in the Atlassian University?
Perfect. Thanks for summarising that for me @Joanna Thurmann
I will be sure to come back and post my accomplishments!
Thanks for that @Mohanraj Thangamuthu
yes, thats correct.
The distinction between ACA and ACP is useful, especially if you are starting with Jira and want to build up from there. One thing worth keeping in mind is the time commitment around studying, practice, and booking the exam, since fitting those around work or college schedules can get tricky. For students who are also tracking class attendance and study time, the arms saveetha attendance calculator is a handy way to keep an eye on attendance while planning study sessions. Starting with the Jira Software Essentials exam also sounds sensible given your existing Jira experience.
