Best FREE timetracking app to intergate with Jira and JXL

Natalie Keane

Currently using the free version of Jira and JXL, but would like to include time-tracking in my JXL report (have the info in Jira).

Does anyone know where I can find exactly which time tracking apps can be integrated and are free of charge?

I'd need to track time for multiple people against the same specific tasks.

Thank you in advance.

Hello @Natalie Keane ,

If you're looking for a way to track time within Jira, I recommend Timepiece - Time in Status for Jira, which is developed by my team at OBSS. It offers comprehensive reports that will allow you to track time spent in different statuses and evaluate the efficiency of your workflow.

Status Duration & Duration Between Statuses Reports:

• Status Duration Report: This shows how long each issue has spent in each status
• Duration Between Statuses Report: This allows you to calculate the duration between two specific statuses. You can even exclude certain statuses for more precise tracking.

Assignee Reports:

Timepiece also offers Assignee Duration Reports, which allow you to track how much time each assignee has spent on different issues. This is particularly useful if you want to see how much time each person is spending on specific tasks and monitor workload distribution.

Issue View Tab:

The Timepiece Issue View Tab allows you to see the detailed time spent in each status directly within the Jira issue. This provides an instant overview of how much time has been spent on the issue in its different statuses by different assignees, making it easy to track its progress without needing to generate a separate report.

Additionally, since you've asked I want to mention Timepiece is free for Jira Cloud instances with fewer than 10 users.

Feel free to try it out!

Hope it helps!
