Hi All,

Im wondering if there is a way to completely copy the information from a submitted form into the description field in Jira?

We use a lot of forms but we also clone some to different projects we have to manually enter the data into the clone ticket as the form doesn't pull across with it.

With Smart Forms for Jira, you can copy all the form fields responses into the Jira Description field. This ensures the information stays accessible, even when cloning issues between projects.

Steps to Configure:

Access Smart Forms for Jira:
- Open the existing form or create a new one.
Open the Form Setting:
- Set up Create new issue.
Map Form Fields to Description:
- In the Create new issue setting, choose the description Jira issue field.
- Map all the necessary form fields to the Description field. This will consolidate all form responses into a single text block in the Jira Description.
Save and Use the Form:
- Save your form settings and use the form as usual (attach to issues, share via a portal, or use a public link).
