Atlassian's "Insert Confluence List" macro. How do I search for pages with specific label tagged?

I'm using Atlassian's "Insert Confluence List" macro on a confluence page.

I need to search for a specific label that is tagged on some confluence pages. The issue I have when I put this label in the search using the "Insert Confluence List" macro is that the search results I receive are in the thousands, not just the pages with the specific label applied.

I've tried to refine the search using the "labelText:" operator as:

labelText:YOURLABEL

I've even tried the space filter with the above operator shown below and it still doesn't provide just the label as my results.

labelText:YOURLABEL AND spacekey:YOURSPACEKEY

Hello — I spent some time this morning testing this.

Workaround: run your search in Confluence, copy the URL from your browser, then paste it into the page as a Smart Link. That link respects your filters, so it behaves like the macro was supposed to and just lists the filtered results reliably.

Is there a way to narrow the list to just level 1 child pages only?
