Notifications to external users doenst't show comments

Question

Hi,

we face a problem with notifications since beginning of December 2024.

We have external users (users not maintained by us) who are participating within Jira projetcs.

Typically they've got notifications when for example a comment was added. The new comment was part of the notification.

By now they only get a notification with a link to show the comment.

We don't see that behaviour with manged accounts, regardless if they participate in SSO or not.

Any idea what I could check or is that a general change.

I have been seeing some posts from other users about problems showing Comments. Please open a support ticket with Atlassian to let them know it is affecting you.

First screenshot for an external user, comment itself is not shown.

second one to an internal user. Here we see the text of the comment "Hallo Michael ....".
