Advanced Roadmaps - Selecting the dependency type in Timeline View

Question

Is there a way to set the dependency type from either the timeline view OR the dependencies view in Advanced Roadmaps?

I have configured my Issue Linking in the admin, so I have the relevant gantt type of links:

And when I manually set this kind of link from inside of an issue, it appears in Advanced Roadmaps Timeline & Dependencies view.

I would like to be able to add these dependencies directly from the timeline view. Currently, when I draw the line, it will only ever use the "Blocks" dependency type and I cant change it within Advanced Roadmaps. Is there a setting I can use to change or decide the type of dependency within AR?

Hi Shoten - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You can certainly add more link types to your plan, but realize that when you do the link in the Timeline view itself you will not be able to select the link type - it will use the first one in your list of link types alphabetically. No matter the order you have them in.

Welcome to the community.

For the Plan option in the main toolbar, select "Settings", you need to be granted the permission or be a JIra admin or higher like, site, product or org admin.

You will be directed to the Products section of the Jira Admin settings. This isn the Plans Permission section.

There select the "Dependencies" section and add the required Link Types.

Now you will be able to use other Link Types then only Blocks.
