Request for Jira Project Ownership Transfer

Andrey Liz

Good morning,

We are undergoing a change in management and need to transfer the ownership of the Jira project to another user. Could you guide us on how to proceed with this transfer securely and efficiently?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best regards,

Trudy P Claspill

Hello @Andrey Liz

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

In Jira a "Project" is a container for issues/work items. An instance of Jira can have multiple Projects set up in it.

Users are assigned to Roles for a Project such as Administrator or Developer. You can also specify one individual as the Project Lead.

Is this concept of a Project the same as what you are referring to as a Project? If so, can you provide more information on what you mean by "ownership"? Ownership is not terminology used by Jira in relation to projects.

If what I have described is not what you are referring to when you say "project", then can you provide more information about what you mean by that term?
