Issue View layout: missing fields in Jira Cloud

I am trying to have custom fields appear in the Issue View, but the fields are not showing in the right hand side of the page to select.

If I look at the Form layout, they are showing within the form layout, but I cannot remove them from there.

Anyone has an idea what would cause this?

Hello @Luc Trepanier , have you included that field in your View/Edit screen as well? If you haven't, you need to create a view screen and add that custom field in there.

For every issue type, you have a separate screen configuration which will include Create, View, Edit, View/Edit.

If you are not to see your custom fields on the view screen, add those fields on to your View screen of respective issue type and that should resolve your issue.

You have to be admin/project admin to perform this configuration.

Settings -> Issues -> Screens

Yes, the two fields I am missing are already included in the screen associated to the issue type. So that is not the problem.
