How to restrict change management issue type for certain users only?

Hello everyone,

I am using JIRA Service Management 5.17.0 (Data Center) have a service project which contains incident,service request and change request.

Incident and Service request is being managed by Service Desk team and access to change management is required to be restricted to specific users only.

Can somebody guide me how to achieve this functionality without having any third party app or plug-in.

Another option that you could use is to leverage issue security level:

* Configuring Issue security level

In order to ensure all incident and service request tickets configured with the right security level, you need to create an automation rule that will automatically enforce it.

Hi @Muhammad Ali Khan You can use a user permission validator in the workflow on Issue Creation then you can restrict issue creation based on the project role. Create a new role in the project and assign the role to the particular user.
