Opened a new project and want to assign it to an exclusive team. How to do?

Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Are you talking about associating the project to a Team you created through the Teams menu in Jira?
Or are you talking about limiting access to the project to a specific group of users?
Also, what is the project type? Get that information from the Type column on the View All Projects page under the Projects menu.
