Notification Scheme - An issue is updated by a workflow transition

I have a notification that should send the current assignee a notification every time an issue they are assigned is transitioned between statuses in the workflow.

I am the current assignee and did not receive a notification when i transitioned an issue from the development status to the review status. In my personal settings, i do not auto-watch issues. My personal settings are shown below:

My understanding is personal settings should NOT override a notification scheme. Is having the 'other issue events' disabled actually overriding the notification scheme that should notify the current assignee of a workflow transition?

Hello @Emily Brol 

At the top of the Notifications settings you provided you should see this section. Do you have the indicated box checked or unchecked?

Unchecking that box overrides email notifications being sent to you when you are the person that takes the action that triggers the notification.
