Jenkins integration with Freestlye Jobs

Question

Are there any Jira <-> Jenkins integrations that work with non-pipeline (freestyle/matrix) jobs?

We do not use pipelines in jenkins, but want to have jira integration. From my searching, i am unable to find a suitable Jira app & Jenkins plugin combination. They all seems to be geared for pipelines only.

Hi Mark,

Hmm, I see the Jira App is paid; something I was trying to avoid if possible. I can give the trial a go and see how we get on to help guide our decision on whether or not we pull the trigger on it.

I maintain the original Jenkins Integration for Jira app that supports all job types in Jenkins and also has bi-directional integration features. It support indexing Jenkins data to relate them to Jira issues, but also support triggering builds from Jira including sending issue fields as build parameters. You will need the counterpart plugin installed in Jenkins to make the integration work.
