How to sub create child issue for a child issue in the timeline view Jira

Hi 

in the Timeline view it allows you to create an item but only lets you create 1 sub level from that item but does not allow you to create further sub levels 

for example the Timeline view would look like as follows  

• Item 1
  • sub item 1 
    • Sub item 2 (How do you cerate a sub item level 2? )

How do i create a the Sub item 2 as shown above in the timeline view?

Hi @John and welcome to the Community!

The timeline view currently does not support the sub-task level of the hierarchy. This is a known limitation with a suggestion to add this that you can track here: JSWCLOUD-18677.

As workarounds, the hierarchy from Epic > Task > Sub-task is visible in the list view or - if you are on a premium plan - can be displayed in an advanced roadmaps plan.
