Cannot set Fix Version in Team-managed business JIRA project

Hello,
I am looking for a way how to get a calendar month report for logged hours in one of our team-managed business JIRA project. I found a Time Tracking Report which is not ideal but usable, however, does not allow to filter out only issues which were worked on during given calendar month (based on logged hours in the given month). I could work around this by assigning those issues to a monthly related Fix Versions and filter based on it. But I cannot find a way how to create specific Fix Version in this my project at all.

Can you please help me with this?
I'd appreciate your advice on either 1) how to create fix version in my project to make my Time Tracking report functional or 2) what is the best way how to get monthly logged hours report other way.

Hi @David Mikulka and welcome to the Community!

While the core function to log spent time is available in out of the box Jira, it is equally true that reporting on it is pretty basic and not very powerful (so far my submission for understatement of the year).

That is why there are a lot of time tracking apps available in the Atlassian Marketplace, which all do a pretty decent job in surfacing timesheet data. It is very much worth taking your time to list your organisation's needs in this area and invest in an app that aligns well with those needs.

On a side note: fix versions are a feature of Software projects, so you won't be able to add them to a business project. At the same time, even if you could still do that, it would be nothing more than a clunky workaround that still won't cover your entire use case. So I would really suggest to explore the marketplace in this area.
