receive the project-category name from a linked issue

Hi i like to receive the project-category name from a linked issue.

Something like :
category[issue.linkedissue.substringBefore("-")]

SO e.g. : MMSS-1378 the projectkey is MMSS. and i want to know the project category of this project-key.

That is not the project category. That is the project Key.

Can you provide more information about your use case?

What problem are you trying to solve?

What do you need to do with the information?

What issue activity would you want to trigger the collecting of that information?

Well.. i want the categorey-name belonging to a project. Where the project comes from the linked-issue.

So i have an issue (Example):
KKLL-1234 which has a linked issue called MMSS-1378.
i want to know the category of the project MMSS.

The Project Category for a project can be viewed on the View All Projects Page under the Projects menu.

No that is not what i am looking for.
I want it in JQL.
