Custom domain name taken?

We completed a rebrand, including a new company name and URL. I am attempting to update our subdomain for Atlassian products but it says that it is already taken. When navigating to it, it doesn't resolve and we aren't using it. Where do I go from here to use our trademarked brand name?

Hi @Noah Singer welcome to the community.  Even though it's not active, my first guess would be a different company with a close name has already grabbed it.  I would suggest opening a ticket with Atlassian Support and see if they may be of assistance.  Maybe they can clarify want is used.  

Acme Motor Company and Acme Machining both may want acme.com, but one already grabbed it.  It at least sounds logical to me.
