Add permisson to comment page

I need to allow users that view pages can also comment the page. I've added the group to the space settings with access to view pages and comment.

But still, the users in the group are able to view, but not able to comment the page. The only option they have is to add a reaction.

Any other option needed to allow to comment?

Please check the Space-Level Permissions and Ensure that the group has both "View" and "Add Comments" permissions. (screenshot below)

Please add that group in the comments section. Click "Tick mark" and save.

The group is already ticked for adding comments on the comments section, as per my previous screenshot...

I've tried to removed the option, save, added the option again and saved. Still the same results.

I'm trying with an user in incognito mode and still he does not have the option to comment.

Any idea why?

Welcome to Atlassian Community.

As suggested by @Shikha Verma , and according to our documentation, the necessary permissions to comment on pages are View and Add Comment. Since the user group has both permissions, the options should be available to those users.

Can you edit the user group permissions and include the Add Pages setting as well, as a test?

If the issue persists, can you edit the space permissions, remove all permissions for that space group (which will remove the group entirely) and add the group with the View and Add Comment permissions once again?

Additionally, is the user group you are applying the permission granting Confluence licenses to its users?

I've also removed the group, as suggested, add it again with permissions to comment, but the outcome is the same....

Hey @Hugo André,

Initially those actions would cover the basic tests with the permissions. I raised a support request to investigate it further (you can access it by accessing the support portal).

I'll reach you through that ticket to access your site and run a few tests with users under the group you are referring.
