How can I get stats about % and story points Bugs vs Stories ?

Mirela Todorova

Hi all,

what is the best way to get statistics regarding how many story points in Bugs vs how many story points in Stories we complete per sprint (%)?

I tried using Tow-dimensional as well as Issue statistics gadgets but it's not exactly what I need

Thoughts?

Hello @Mirela Todorova,

I am Marlene, product manager of Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards.

If you are open to work with a Jira cloud app, you can sum up story points per issue type with our Jira cloud app. My recommendation would be to

Add our "Quick Two Dimensional Issue Statistics gadget to your dashboard
Select as source issues all issues you want to display (e.g. all Bugs and Stories from your project)
Select Issue Type as x-achsis
Select "Sprint" as y-achsis
Select "Story Points" als value shown

You can test Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards without installation on our demo dashboards.

Hi @Mirela Todorova

I'm afraid this is not possible with Jira's default gadgets or reports.

A solution would be to search on Atlassian Marketplace for an app (plugin) that is able to do this type of calculations.

If you consider the option of using an app, our Great Gadgets app has a Pivot Table & Pivot Chart gadget that lets you display this statistic (by sum of story points, percentages or issue count) on your dashboard with just a few clicks.

If you decide to give it a try, the gadget configuration must be like this:
