Email request template example for Jir Admins

Hi!

Does anyone have any experience with crating a template for an email requests for Jira admin?

Any idea what could be a good clear template i can suggest customer for opening tickets by email so that they world follow it? As Far as I understand i just can share structure with them , there is no way to actually have a built inform inside of the email requests.

Hi @Vera Valshonok,

Your email system lives outside of Jira. All you can offer to your customers if you want to let them raise tickets via email, is the email address that you connect to your JSM helpdesk.

An email is a template in itself, as it has:

* a title or subject, which is mapped to the ticket summary in JSM
* the body of the email, which lands in the ticket description
* any attachments, which are attached to your ticket
* and the sender, who will become the ticket reporter
* (cc people can become request participants)

If you want to offer a template, you're better of telling people not to send you emails, but give them the link to your portal instead, where you can add additional fields to create structured tickets instead.

To supplement @Walter Buggenhout suggested, you can also create/configure FORM's configuration setup to enhance your portal request type form to create issue in your JSM project.
