confluence-3.0 : ldap users fail to log in

Hi All;

I have configured ldap ( passwd authentication only) for my confluence-3.0, and could see all users in the ldap directory (thousands of users) . Those that were locally belonging to some groups keep belonging to these groups.

My issue is that ldap users fail to log in when non ldap ones keep logging in.

Confluence 3.0 has passed it's End of Life. This question is 1.5 years old with no movement. If you've resolved the problem, possibly share your experience incase there are others who experienced the same problem.
