Today we have 3 Jira instances, Prod, Sandbox, and Dev. Our Dev instance is currently in the free tier.
At this company time tracking for projects is important, and someone recently deleted about 15 Stories/Epics with over 100 hours of time in them. So we are looking to restore these and I have a way to do so using the DEV instance, as we cannot use the Sandbox at this time.
- Take dev instance backup
- Restore a prod backup to dev instance
- Find deleted epics/stories
- Export deleted epics/stories from dev, import to prod
- Restore dev instance from dev backup taken earlier
The question is, when we restore our Jira Prod backup to DEV, it will likely push us over the free tier due to have 1,000+ users, will restoring it with the DEV backup after bring us back to the free tier or will we be stuck?
