Custom User Picker field showing only user identifier in automations

I have a custom user picker (single) field called Employee Name.

I have a HR form that is used to raise Employee Variations (such as role changes or secondments) and it uses this field Employee Name.

Now the form has the correct info being the employee name, however for an automation I have that send an email to the HR team mailbox, I have the {{customfield_10283}} in the Summary and Body of the email however it only returns the identifier which is not useful.

Has anyone come across this issue and/or have a fix?

To access information related to user picker custom fields, enter the field name in between {{ and }}. For example, if you have a custom field called "Squad leader" and you want to access the display name for that user then use {{Squad leader.displayName}}
