How to Make a field Mandatory in Team Managed project in Jira cloud

HI,

I was going through Atlassian Documentation and came across this-

Required fields

Use required fields to mark an issue type’s most important details.

* From your project's sidebar, select Project settings > Issue types.

* Select the issue type you want to edit.

* Select the Required checkbox for any fields you want to make mandatory.

* Select Save changes.

Once saved, new issues of that type can’t be created unless the required field is filled out.

But I don't see any checkbox/option as mentioned in the documentation to make a field mandatory or Am I missing something here.

Can some one please clarify me on this.

How to make a field mandatory in Jira:

For Team Management Projects:

1 - Access the project settings.

2- Navigate to the issue type for which you want to make the field mandatory.

3 - Click "Edit" next to the issue type.

4 - Add the desired field to the issue type.

5 - On the right side of the screen, expand the section to open the field configuration options.

6 - Select the option to make the field mandatory.

I know this is not what you asked but I'm sharing it to help you

For Company Management Projects:

1 - the project settings.

2 - Go to "Field Configuration".

3 - Search for the field you want to make mandatory.

4 - Locate the field in the list and select the option to make it mandatory.
