Update custom field based on creator or reporter upon creation

Question

I would like to know if it's possible to set different value of a custom field during the creation.

I have a custom field list with 2 values : Internal / External and the value is defaulted to Internal.

and based on the creator for example "creator = addon_zendesk_for_jira" I would like to set that field to External upon creation.

This is not during a Transition, this is at the Open state, in order to categorize my issues upon arrival.

Is there any way to do that with JIRA cloud ?

Hi Franck,

I'm afraid that's not possible, as JIRA doesn't have feature to set a field based on another field by default. It might be possible to achieve that using add-ons, if there's any one that provide this feature, however, this would probably be available for JIRA Server only, not Cloud.
