Average of last 4 sprint Last Velocity and Sum of future sprint Story points

Hi,

I am trying to build a chart in Atlassian Analytics report for below requirement. to know the backlog health for each project in our Jira instance.

1. Pull the Average of last 4 sprint Last Velocity for selected project. I tried moving average function but it never calculates velocity for first few sprints. I need sum of last 4  sprints completed Story points for each sprint.

2. Sum of future sprint Story points - Based on the selection of project the report have to calculate sum of  Committed Story points for next 2 sprints (future sprints).

Based on the above values i can created a custom formula to calculate the Backlog health for each sprints.

This will help to create a charts in  Analytics Dashboard.

Need your help to identify the right functions. Thanks in advance.

Hi @Params,

Not sure if or how this could be done in Analytics. But a possible solution would be to use the Advanced Issue Filter Formula gadget offered by our Great Gadgets app.

By using this gadget you can calculate the average of story points completed in the last 4 sprints, as well as the story points in the next 2 future sprints.

You will need some specific JQLs in place, but this will work.
