How do I link a specific parent issue type to a specific sub-task issue type

I would like to know if there is a way to link a specific parent issue type to a specific sub-task issue type.

For example, I have a Client Lead (Parent) issue type and a Client Lead (ST) issue type.

But everytime I create a sub task it automatically cleates a Sub Task (ST) issue type instead of the Client Lead (ST) issue type.

Hi Mareli,

You are choosing the Client Lead sub-task from the dropdown and put in a Summary and it saves it as a regular Sub-task????

So basically I am asking is, is there a way where I do not have to actually go to the drop-down and select the client lead (ST)?

Is the Client Lead ST defined as a ST under the issue type hierarchy ? You can find that under Settings>Issues>Issue Type Hierarchy
