How to handle automation with matrix data in 2d,3d or more

Hello,

What we are trying to achieve : 

• We have a data matrix
• The user in back office can chose a data from a drop down menu
• Depending on its choice, the automation must fill in several others fields
  • For example, if they choose the supplier B
    • The automation is able to parse the matrix, find the supplier B and fill in several information about the supplier in several fields

 

I'm thinking about an automation that call aws lambda but I'd like to know if some of you are dealing with that kind of case and how.

It seems like you are on Jira Service management Premium.

This means you have the asset functionality available. Your use case  above can definitely be achieved by building up your matrix with objects relating to each other stored in asset managemen. You will then create object custom fields plus an automation that will set of the next fields based on the relations to what has been chosen in the first field.
