Importing Epics and Stories to Team Managed Project

Question

Our company uses Excel to estimate projects and wants to import this data into a Jira Board. We use Team Managed Projects. We only use Epics and Stories.

We have been able to generate / modify the Excel estimate into a CSV but are unable to get the import process and subsequently the Jira Board to classify the Epics and Stories properly.

I have read various different guides and have a dummy CSV file that I have been testing with.

I am after some advice if I am doing something wrong. Happy to share the CSV file as there is no client sensitive data in it.

@Rebekka Heilmann _viadee_ included is the screen shot. It does not map the Epic Name, Epic Link or Parent ID.

Happy to be guided on exactly what the process of steps should include.

Hi Ben - Welcome the Atlassian Community!

I am not aware of a way to import issues into a Team-managed project using CSV files. You can with Company-managed projects.

what do you mean by "unable to classify"? What exactly is going wrong at what time in the import process?
