How to run the scheduler function to store the bug backlog count status-wise in Jira

I want to store the bug backlog count status-wise in Jira.

We have a scheduler function that is run every hour, but some times it is not working. That's why our data consistency is poor. 

Has anyone setup or configured the scheduler function before, or is there any other way to do this? Any help is appreciated.

Can you elaborate on what functionality you are using for scheduling? Is it through a third-party Jira marketplace app? What is the URL you navigate to for scheduling functionality?
