Populate field from Jira Product Discovery

Hello, We use Jira Product Discovery and Jira Software products. How to set automation that populates field (PRD field with URL type, in the bottom right corner) from JPD to Jira Software ticket? Ticket from Jira Software is linked to JPD via 'implemented by' or in Delivery section. is there a wa to set any automation between two different type of projects in Jira?

Yes, that is possible.  What have you tried thus far to solve this need?

 

If you have created a rule, and it is not working as expected, please post an image of your complete automation rule, images of any relevant actions / conditions / branches, an image of the audit log details showing the rule execution, and explain what is not working as expected.  Those will provide context for the community to offer ideas.  Thanks!

 

If you have not created a rule, please note successfully using automation rules requires learning and experimentation.  I encourage you to learn a bit about rules, try to create the rule, and to ask for help if you run into challenges.

The rule you create will likely need multiple-project scope to access issues in the different projects, and so it will need to be defined in the global automation area.  The rule can use either Branch on JQL, or Branch on Linked Issues, to access the issues you need.
