Linking a comment to another comment in JIRA

I don't think it is possible to link comments with each other. In other words, if for instance, a comment is about a question that is being asked, the resulting answer comment cannot be linked to the original question comment. All comments seem to be purely sequential and non-linked.

I just want to ensure that my observation is correct.

Any confirmation or disagreement with the above will be much appreciated.

You are right. There is no linking of comments possible. No threads either.
