Creating Quickfilters for the Timeline Board

Question

I'm trying to create a relatively straightforward quick filter for my Timeline so I can quickly view only the Epic's I'm responsible for.  My JQL syntax is as follows:

"Epic Name" IN (

"Epic 1",

"Epic 2",

"Epic 3",

"Etc."

)

However, only 5 of the 8 Epics I've filtered to actually show when I apply the quick filter.  The 3 that don't show don't seem to have any particular pattern (they all still have active stories against them, they aren't fully completed, their timelines stretch past the current date, etc.)

Not sure what I'm missing here - any help is appreciated!

Interestingly enough, if I apply the same filter at the all issues page, it filters everything out.  As you mentioned, it must be a further setting somewhere else I'm overlooking.  Unfortunately, I'm not our Administrator, so I don't have full access to view or change some of these.

I'll work with them to see if I can't get unblocked.

What happens if you use the same quick filter in the all issues view? Does it work as expected there?

I'm sure you won't be surprised to learn that when this happens, something about the quick filter + other filters, project, or timeline settings (somewhere) is causing it.

We might be able to help you find the mismatch if you share some screenshots of these things.

If you discover it on your own, let us know what was causing it.
