Extract Data from Jira Ticket (Service Request)

Hello,

For our dashboards which are created in Jira Cloud and based on information in the ticket, I will have to extract additional data based on the information available in the ticket.

Below is an example of the ticket:

Device Name: CrowdStrike IoC
Payload: Jun 03 09:27:19 CS-IOC cat=CrowdStrike IoC
CrowdStrike-Indicator=(information)
CrowdStrike-Indicator-Type=(information)
CrowdStrike-Indicator-Actors=
CrowdStrike-Indicator-Malicious-Confidence=(information)
CrowdStrike-Indicator-Malware-Families=(information)
CrowdStrike-Indicator-Published-Date=Jun. 03, 2024 09:26:52
CrowdStrike-CloudURL=(information)

 

I want to extract all the fields that have value (information) so that I can use them in my dashboards.

Any leads, please.

If I understand correctly, these values are in the Description field of the ticket.

If so, then they won't be available separately in the dashboards, because the unit there is a complete field value, not fragments of that.

I suggest that you set up separate custom fields "Device Name", "Payload", etc. and migrate the information to those. Then you can work with them on dashboards.

You could even set up an automation rule that extracts these from the Description and copies them to a custom fields.
