What happened to Space Templates?

Until recently, when creating a Space on Confluence Cloud, I could select among multiple templates as shown on the screenshot (this has been taken from a video on the documentation here), but now when I create a space, there are only three options (Collaboration, Knowlege Base or Custom)... has this been cut down by Atlassian on purpose?

@Daniel Prado Rodriguez out of curiosity, what did you like about the space templates? Were there specific page templates you used? If so, those templates are still available — here's how to access them:

@Ned Lindau I'm confused by your response, which seems to talk about the Page templates, rather than the Space templates that @Daniel Prado Rodriguez asked about. Is there a way to access all the Space templates?

@Mikael Sandberg I cannot open that article you linked... It says I don't have enough permissions... isn't it public?
Can I opt-out of that subset of customers?
To be honest, I had just started experimenting with the "old" (which weren't that old) space templates... but I think the now workflow has very few options.

I do not like the flow. It might be ok if the space creation actually worked. I choose Knowledge base and get something completely other than what I expected I would like to opt out of this testing how can I do that and return back to normal
