Automation rule

Jira Data Center

I want to implement the following automation rule:

Trigger: issue created

Condition :

IF issue fields condition (Field = Requesting Project) contains any of "value"

Then it triggers the action : Edit issue fields (Field : Label = "value")

ELSE

IF issue fields condition (Field = Requesting Project) contains any of "value" (other than condition A)

Then it triggers the action : Edit issue fields (Field : Label = "value")

Could you please help me with a concrete example?

Hi @Mihai Mot ,

Welcome to the community !!

You should make use of branch rule and JQL condition.

i.e Select Trigger = Issue created

* New component = "FOR EACH: Add a branch"* Add condition, select JQL condition and goive the required values. Example: I am using field "Access Type" and my condition will be 
"Access Type[Select List (multiple choices)]" IN (Daily, Permanent)"

* For THEN Add an action, select Edit issue and select Label (or any field of your requirement) and add value.

* Now again on Add Component, do the same above config but change the JQL condition and include NOT
"Access Type[Select List (multiple choices)]" NOT IN  (Daily, Permanent)"

This is how the rule will look.
