How does Jira determine which users to display in the "you work with" section of People and teams?

Question

Jira displays some users in this section that should only have access to our service desk, not our other projects.

Having them displayed in the "you work with" section (under teams section), makes some internal people believe these displayed users have access to their internal projects.  Is that correct?

Does anyone know what criteria Jira uses to display these "you work with" users?

Hi @Stephen Chisholm , I can't point you to a specific document that explains this definitively. However, it should be represented by individuals that you have engaged with on any pages or issues. So you certainly will see individuals that have access to some projects but not others. In annd of itself, people should not be concerned that those individuals have access to all projects just because they appear there.

Thanks @Jack Brickey , just trying to explain to new administrators not to be concerned, but wanted to also give them (explain) the logic used to have them displayed there.
