How do I copy across a custom date field?

I was using the advanced field to copy the custom date from parent to child with the below details and it was working last week.  I'm now getting 'error parsing date string'.  What am I doing wrong or what has changed that this was working last week but not anymore?

Ok this has now been fixed in Cloud and a fix will ship in Server 1.2.9 momentarily. Sorry for the inconvenience!
